Petrified Cities / Shards shows broken fragments of city fossils. Instead of a complete city´s shape only clutter of scattered details is left to be seen. These relics only faintly remind of anything connected to high culture as they rather resemble traces of reef-building organisms with a low sense of direction. Each picture shows a single find of the city in a coherent measure. Arranged by decreasing size the fragments are oriented according to their individual shape.
