Images, writings, maps and digital screens illustrate our ability to project a complex, spatial world onto flat surfaces. From these surfaces we reconstruct the world before our mind´s eye - a reprojection. The methods of projection into and out of the plane belong to the core of our culture. In fact they are so well established that they make us forget it is not the real world we are looking at. These magical surfaces are called “media”. The greater their share of our experiences, the more our impression of reality is determined by projections. We should pay attention to how they work.
