Different Planes is a video installation about space and distance in media. A girl sits in the flickering light of a television. Airplanes appear in front of her, turning themselves towards the girl. They distort the image, as if there was an invisible membrane in between. Although the airplanes become smaller and smaller on their way towards the girl they do not seem to get any closer to her. Instead they will disappear at some point.
All along shifting radio frequencies of international long wave broadcast from October 7th 2001 can be heard.
